How We Built and Rebuilt Affordable Computer Repair's Local Search System
Affordable Computer Repair: a local SEO growth case study. Two rebuild phases — early 2025 and August 14, 2026 — run as an ongoing build, measure, learn, improve program rather than a one-time redesign.

Project timeline

Aug 14, 2026
Phase 2 — second major rebuild
Clearer service intent, stronger internal linking, problem-first Help Center content, refreshed technical SEO and tighter local entity alignment.
Ongoing
Measure again
Search Console, Google Business Profile activity, local rank tracking, calls and forms, and lead-source attribution continue to drive the next round of improvements.
Before state
- Service pages were not built around how customers actually search for repair problems
- Bellevue and Omaha metro relevance were not clearly separated or reinforced
- Technical foundations — canonicals, structured data, sitemap, crawlability — needed to be established
- No clean pre-rebuild Search Console baseline exists, so the earliest comparable long-term evidence starts in August 2025
The client
Affordable Computer Repair is an established computer repair business in Bellevue, Nebraska, serving customers throughout Bellevue and the Omaha metro.
Phase 1 — the first rebuild (early 2025)
The first major rebuild launched in early 2025. Its purpose was foundational, not cosmetic: give Google clear, distinct pages to rank and give customers an obvious path from a problem to the service that solves it.
- Service-page architecture built around real repair search intent
- Bellevue relevance alongside broader Omaha metro relevance
- Technical SEO: canonicals, structured data, sitemap and crawlability
- Internal linking between supporting content and service pages
- Conversion paths that lead to a call or a form, not a dead end
We do not have a clean pre-rebuild Search Console baseline for this project, so we do not claim one. The earliest comparable long-term evidence we can show starts with August 2025.
Year-over-year Search Console visibility
Across the same August 12–29 date window one year apart, Google Search Console recorded substantially broader search visibility and stronger average positioning.
Organic clicks
+33%Search impressions
~9.7×Average position
~20.9 → 3.2Many factors can influence organic search performance over a year. These figures show the direction of ACR's search visibility during the ongoing optimization program; they should not be interpreted as proof that a single website change caused the entire increase. Note also that when a site starts appearing for a far wider set of queries, impressions can grow much faster than clicks, which lowers aggregate click-through rate even while total clicks rise.
Built, Measured, Then Improved Again
Automate Omaha did not treat the first website as permanently finished. A launch is the start of the measurement, not the end of the work.
- Reviewed Google Search Console data on an ongoing basis
- Examined local search and map performance
- Identified new service and search opportunities
- Expanded the content architecture
- Improved internal linking between content and services
- Developed problem-first Help Center content
- Improved measurement and lead attribution
- Concluded a second rebuild was warranted

Phase 2 — the August 14, 2026 rebuild
The second major rebuild launched on August 14, 2026, informed by eighteen months of real data rather than assumptions.
Website & search architecture
- Clearer service intent per page
- Stronger internal linking
- Cleaner paths from informational content to service pages
- Conversion-focused page structure
Local & technical SEO
- Bellevue relevance and Omaha metro service relevance
- Google Business Profile alignment and consistent entity information
- Metadata, canonical consistency, sitemap and indexation
- Structured data, crawlability and mobile usability
Problem-first Help Center content
Customers usually search for a problem before they know which service they need. Someone whose machine will not start is not searching for a diagnostic service name — they are describing the symptom. The Help Center answers those questions directly and then offers a natural path to the relevant repair service.
- Computer won't turn on
- Suspicious security popup or scam warning
- Signs of a failing hard drive
- Gaming PC crashing or overheating
Several of these guides are recent. We are not attributing results to them yet — their performance is being measured before any claims are made.
Early Results After the Second Rebuild
Equal 13-day periods immediately before and after the August 14, 2026 launch. In the first comparable 13-day period after launch, Search Console recorded 150 organic clicks versus 118 during the preceding 13 days.
Organic clicks
+27%Search impressions
+16%Click-through rate
~+10%These are Google Search Console results from equal 13-day periods immediately before and after the August 14, 2026 launch. They show positive early directional movement, but they do not prove that every increase was caused solely by the rebuild.
Google Business Profile
ACR also maintains substantial ongoing activity through its Google Business Profile, which is monitored separately from website organic traffic. Google Business Profile interactions and Search Console organic clicks measure different things, so we never combine them into a single chart or a single headline number.
Why these numbers matter
Traffic is not the final goal. The goal is search visibility that turns into a website visit, then a call or form, then a qualified customer, then revenue.
- More impressions: Google is showing the business across more searches.
- Better average position: the site is appearing higher across the searches Google associates with it.
- More organic clicks: more people are reaching the website through unpaid Google Search results.
More Than a Website Redesign
Automate Omaha's approach is built around the entire customer-acquisition system rather than visual web design alone. Every stage below is designed, connected and measured.
- Search demand
- Google Search / Maps
- Service pages + Help content
- Website conversion
- Call / form
- Lead
- Customer
- Revenue attribution
- Measurement
- Next improvement
This Case Study Isn't Finished
ACR remains an active optimization project. Rather than declaring the work complete, we keep measuring it.
- Search Console clicks and impressions
- Search queries and query coverage
- Service-page performance
- Help Center growth
- Bellevue and local rankings
- Omaha metro expansion
- Google Business Profile activity
- Calls and form submissions
- Lead source and attribution
- Conversion and revenue attribution
